Let’s face it. We all can use more money no matter if it’s to pay off monthly bills, to get out of debt, pay for a vacation or other perks or build for retirement. The great thing about an Internet business is that it can, if done right, start earning income rather quickly, perhaps even with a day or two.

Another factor is family. A lot of moms like me want to be home with the kids and a work at home job is what is needed. Of course, many so called “work from home” jobs require you to leave for appointments like sales calls or go into an office a few times a week. An Internet business, however, can be run entirely from home. Also, most women who start a business at home are going to be able to take a tax deduction for their home business. Less taxes means more money in your pocket too.

Another thing to think about is that working at home means no expensive wardrobes. Can you imagine not having to buy expensive work clothes anymore? How much money a year you can save by trimming back your wardrobe budget? Also, think about how much you spend on food while you’re in the typical work place vs. eating at home.

Another consideration is that so many of us Moms are busy being Moms, wives, and members of our community that we end up forgetting about ourselves. Becoming successful  in your own business will increase your feelings of self worth.

Something else is that when you are in charge of your own business means you are no longer at the mercy of layoffs and other business trends. Don’t get me wrong, a home business can fail too. The difference is that at least you make the decisions, not someone else who doesn’t have your and your family’s best interest at heart.

But remember, you don’t want to start a business to please anyone else other than yourself. There is a lot of pressure on women today to do it all, to be supermom. Start your business for you, and your dreams. Running a business is not for everyone, but if you want to follow your dreams, work at home, and make a good income, starting an internet business is a great place to start.
